KASHMIR-CENTRE.EU building bridges for a peaceful resolution...

The problem of Jammu and Kashmir has been a burning issue in south-Asia for more than half a century. Unlike many other problems in the developing world, Kashmir now has the potential to become a nuclear flashpoint capable of bringing disaster far beyond its valleys and mountains to the Indo-Pakistan sub-continent as a whole. So, it is a matter of concern for the international community, including the European Union.

Despite its grave implications for world peace, there has been minimal awareness about Jammu and Kashmir at European Union-level. But, the opening in October 2003 of the Kashmir Centre.EU (KC.EU) brought Kashmir an EU platform that not only offers an important opportunity to further the cause of Kashmiri people but also helps the European Union to better understand the problem's dynamics.
